Norbulingka Institute was officially inaugurated in 1995 by his Holiness, The Dalai Lama. The Institute uses self-sustaining means to preserve and continue Tibetan art and culture. Visitors can witness first-hand the beautiful campus, the temple, museum etc. to get an experience of the splendour of Tibetan culture.

This is a Buddhist Monastery located at Sidbhari on the main road to Palampur. It is one of the famous Buddhist Monasteries in Himachal and specializes in the study of Tantric meditation, ritual arts, and Buddhist philosophy.

St. John in the Wilderness is a Protestant church dedicated to John the Baptist. It was built in 1852 and is located near Dharamshala, on the way to McLeod Ganj, at Forsyth Ganj. Set amidst deodar forests and built in neo-Gothic architecture, the Church has beautiful Belgian stained-glass windows.

The Kangra Fort built by the Katoch Dynasty is a historic fort located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. This fort stands on a hillock between two rivers (Manjhi and Banganga), among the foothills of the Dhauladhar range. The fort is the largest in the Indian Himalayas, and is under the protection of the Archeological Survey of India.

The Masrur Temples, a complex of rock-cut Hindu temples, are located in the Kangra Valley and are approximately a 3-hour drive from Dharamshala. This 8th-century complex features 15 temples carved out of a single rock. The temples face northeast, towards the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas.

The Pong Dam is an earth-fill embankment dam on the Beas River just upstream of Talwara. The lake created by the dam, Maharana Pratap Sagar, is a renowned bird sanctuary.
